A small Toronto crew who believe free gaming should be joyful, safe, and beautifully crafted.
How VictoriaLake Began
VictoriaLake started in 2022 with one question: why can't free-play social gaming look and feel as good as premium entertainment? Our founding team met at a Toronto game-jam, bonded over a shared frustration with cluttered, monetisation-heavy social gaming platform apps, and decided to build something different.
The enchanted forest theme emerged from weeks of concept sketches — a world of glowing mushrooms, crystal fairies, and wise woodland owls. The cel-shaded, comic-book style was a deliberate choice: we wanted every symbol to feel alive and hand-crafted, not procedurally generated.
We are entirely independent, based in Ontario, and focused on one product: HOLD & GLOW. We believe that doing one thing exceptionally well beats spreading thin across dozens of games.

Maya Levesque
Co-Founder & Creative Director
Maya drives the visual identity and user experience. Formerly a UX lead at a Toronto fintech, she brings disciplined design thinking to every pixel of the forest.
Sebastien Park
Lead Developer
Sebastien built the HOLD & GLOW engine from scratch in vanilla JavaScript. He is obsessed with performance, touch responsiveness, and keeping the codebase lean.
Anika Thorne
Game Designer
Anika designed the HOLD & GLOW mechanic and the symbol universe. She balances mathematical hit-rate targets with the gut feeling of every spin being satisfying.
Jordan Obi
Player Experience Lead
Jordan handles community, support, and the responsible-play programme. He ensures every player can find help quickly and that our platform never tips into dark-pattern territory.
Our Values
Free, always. VictoriaLake will never charge for play. Gold Coins are virtual and have zero real-money value. We sustain the project through non-intrusive contextual advertising, never by pressuring players to spend.
Responsible by design. Jordan's entire role is dedicated to making sure VictoriaLake is the safest free-play social gaming platform in Canada. We link prominently to Gamblers Anonymous, the Responsible Gambling Council, Gambling Guidelines Canada, and GambleAware on every page.
